A small and picturesque area formed from a part of Landaff known as Eastern Landaff; Easton was incorporated in 1876. With a population of 256, this beautiful quiet community has a total area of 31.2 square miles and the highest point here is 4,040 feet above sea level, just west of the 4,293-foot summit of the North Peak of Kinsman Mountain. Easton is the childhood home of Olympic skier Bode Miller, called "the most successful male American alpine ski racer of all time." Just off of Route 116 in Easton you'll find the Wonder Fall Farm, home to myotonic goats. "Myotonic?" you say. The vernacular term is "fainting goats."
