 The beautiful town of Sandwich is in Carroll CountyNew Hampshire with a population of 1,326 at the 2010 census. Incorporated in 1763, Sandwich includes the villages of Center Sandwich and North Sandwich. Part of the White Mountain National Forest is in the north, and part of Squam Lake is in the southwestern corner of this historic town.

Still today folks of all ages travel far and wide to attend The Sandwich Fair, which by the way, started out as an agricultural event. Local farmers hoped it would turn into an annual market day where they could trade and sell their cattle.  Much has happened since August of 1887!  Today the fair runs from Friday evening Columbus Day weekend through Monday.  Join the fun and more   

Fun Facts: Did you know many scenes from the iconic opening credits of the TV series Newhart were filmed in the Sandwich and Squam Lake area? The footage used for the series was leftover stock recorded for the film On Golden Pond which was also filmed in the area.
