Nestled next to the new RiverWalk Resort and behind the local grocery store, live performance theatre is alive and well at Jean's Playhouse in Lincoln, NH.

Formed in 1986 as North Country Center for the Arts, the organization transformed the paper mill in Lincoln (the former industrial center of the community, officially closed since 1980) into the Papermill Theatre, and produced its first professional mainstage season in 1987.  Productions of the inaugural season included Carnival, Harvey, Deathtrap, and  Cabaret.

Fast forward to 2019, the theatre now provides year-round entertainment with comedians, musicians and of course, the summer professionals, the Papermill Theater Company and IMPACT Children's Theater.  The Papermill Theatre Company is the professional mainstage performance company whose name derived from the original home of the organization. IMPACT (Imagination and Music - Professional Artistry in Children's Theatre) is the professional touring company of Jean's Playhouse, adapting well-known tall tales and stories to create eight original children's musicals each summer.

The remaining 2019 Main Stage performances include; The Fantasticks (Aug 22nd - 31st), Labor Day Comedy show (Sept 1st), Almost Maine (Sept 5th - 14th). For more information about Jean's Playhouse, visit their website, http://jeansplayhouse.com/.
