The Country Ladybug Greenhouse

Country Lady Bug GreenhouseNamed for the little bug that most experienced gardeners recognize as good gardening pest control The Country Lady Bug Greenhouse located in Campton, NH opened in April, 2009.

Greenhouse owners, Sharon and Bob Davis, have been avid gardeners for as long as they can remember.  For Sharon, owning her own greenhouse has been a long sought after dream for many years.  After a successful career as a paralegal then serving in the banking industry, Sharon launched her dream and spent over a year with some very intense preparation to prepare the greenhouse for a 2009 spring opening.  She could not have done it without the hard work of her husband Bob and their son Tom.

Sharon is grateful for the support of Marsh and Sandy Morgan, who sold Sharon and Bob their greenhouse when they retired.  The Contry Ladybug GreenhouseMorgans worked side by side with Sharon, Bob and son Tom to disassemble, relocate and rebuild the greenhouse at its new location.

In addition to popular annuals, perennials and starter vegetables and herbs, The Country Lady Bug offers plants designed to attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

Over 80% of the plants at the greenhouse are grown from seed as opposed to importing already grown plants.   Flowering plant specialties include geraniums, marigolds, impatiens, tuberous begonias, gerbera daisy and beautiful fuchsia hanging baskets.  Vegetables include many herbs, “Tumbling Tom” hanging cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers, cabbage, etc.

The Country Lady Bug Greenhouse has become a part of the community visited by many of the same customers and friends every year.  Sharon commented, “That it is like old home day each day at the greenhouse!  Everyone leaves happy.”  One of the customers commented, “Thank you …. for providing beauty in our lives from the flowers!  We just love Ladybug Greenhouse.  It really is a precious jewel in our area.”

The greenhouse opens the last Saturday of April and closes for the season the first Sunday of August each year.
