For 69 years, the town of Lincoln, NH thrived on the paper mill but once they filed bankruptcy and closed their doors in 1971 the massive building was abandoned; left to fair the weather and deteriorate over time. For decades to follow the abandoned paper mill sat in the center of Lincoln, it was a reminder of a prosperous past and challenging future.
Featuring 79 suites in a full-service and fractional ownership hotel, there are plenty of on-site amenities to enjoy; heated year-round swimming pools and hot tubs, Solstice North Day Spa, La Vista an upscale Italian restaurant and Seven Birches Winery. The Resort also features a unique indoor/outdoor swimming pool that is engineered to convert to an ice-skating rink during the winter. The Resort sits in the center of Lincoln, a bustling yet walkable town with plenty of off-site great spots to eat, shop and be entertained.
The Resort plans a second phase that will double its rooms, double the size of its winery, add a new convention center, and add a gondola that will cross the river, taking guests to the base of Loon Mountain, for true ski-in, ski-out access. Phase two planning is underway and will make the white castle loom even larger.
This development is an immense transformation from the paper mill of yesteryear to what it is today.
